We are currently seeking a flexible and part-time Client Manager with expertise in institutional fundraising to join our growing team. This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours and the potential to evolve into a full-time role with expanded responsibilities. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in building new systems and processes in an entrepreneurial environment and wants to work across a variety of issue areas.
About the Role
The Client Manager – Grant Writing will be responsible for supporting grant strategy and execution for a portfolio of Linea clients. While the primary focus is institutional fundraising, there will also be opportunities to contribute to major donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, and capital campaign planning.
We are looking for someone who brings a business owner mindset—self-directed, resourceful, collaborative, and eager to grow. You should feel comfortable managing deadlines, communicating with clients, and writing across a variety of formats and funder audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Institutional Fundraising
Research, identify, and evaluate funding opportunities aligned with client missions and programs
Draft compelling, customized proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and grant reports
Build and maintain grants calendars and submission schedules
Apply best practices in foundation cultivation and stewardship
Collateral Development
Design simple but professional fundraising materials in Canva (one-pagers, impact reports, decks, etc.)
Collaborate with the Linea team to develop client-facing communications and marketing tools
Client & Project Management
Track grant deliverables and deadlines using project management tools
Lead or support client calls and communicate clearly about timelines and deliverables
Coordinate across multiple clients and projects with varying priorities and needs
Ideal Candidate Profile
5+ years of experience in institutional fundraising, with a successful track record of securing foundation support
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex programmatic work into compelling narratives
Experience developing fundraising collateral (Canva or equivalent)
Strong organizational and project management skills
Able to work independently and manage up to ensure project momentum
Comfortable working in a client services environment and juggling multiple priorities
Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required)
Familiarity with corporate giving and sponsorships
Experience supporting or managing capital campaigns
Background in nonprofit communications or marketing
CRM knowledge (e.g., Salesforce, Little Green Light, etc.)
Compensation & Commitment
This is a remote, part-time (5–8 hrs/week to begin) position with flexible scheduling. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. The role is designed for professionals currently working part- or full-time who are looking to grow their consulting experience or transition into a more flexible career.
